The Distribution Business Manager is responsible for driving short and long term sustainable growth with cooperation of our distribution channel and the customers for NXP inside the Mass Market & Distribution EMEA team.
In his/her role, the Distribution Business Manager will define together with the Regional Sales Manager which distribution partners and branches to focus in his sales region depending on the potential to grow the NXP business. He/She has to define the strategic relationships with our channel partners to support him/her on the demand creation and commercial & technical requests from the customers. The Distribution Business Manager is fully accountable for the POS (resale) and DWIN results at his/her distribution branches in his region to achieve the growth as per NXP corporate targets.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for a defined sales region and the related distributor engagements and will be measured on demand creation and revenue growth. The key tasks include:
- Channel management including prioritization and drive of the key distributor engagements via jointly agreed business plans
- Set up, own and drive the business plans with the distributor offices
- Cooperate with the distribution partners on joint activities, like product trainings, seminars etc.
- Account responsibility together with the channel partner and building up the customer relationship
- Interact with the decision maker and top management with regional customers and distributors
- Identify and win new opportunities while selling the whole portfolio
- Ensure excellent commercial results per NXP corporate goals
- Manage NXP internal resources to meet sales goals when needed and to deliver above market growth across the assigned responsibilities
Personal profile
- Electrical or Business Engineering degree or similar. Knowledge about semiconductor products
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in semiconductor Sales, Field Application or Marketing.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of high tech b2b sales experience
- Very strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills in both German and English
- Ability to explain complex technical contents in a convincing fashion appropriate to the level of the business partner
- Ability to work in an autonomous way, setting the right priorities for NXP business and its customers
- Need to have strategic thinking to ensure the management of the distribution partners with whom he/she will work to develop the business
- Strong drive internally with NXP Business Units for what he/she needs to make business move forward
- Ability to deal at all levels at the local distributors and partners and with customers
- High degree of flexibility, motivation, customer & distribution focus, business orientation and networking ability are requested for this position
- Accountability and autonomy are required for this job
- Located in the region South-East Germany (e.g. Bavaria)
- Willingness to travel frequently is essential
