Summary:
As a EDA DevOps Automation and analyst , you will be working bringing in automation and analytical solutions and capabilities within the organisation but also will be involved on providing technical support in day to day operations for NXP R&D engineers using EDA tool licenses. The candidate will provide oversight on EDA license assets, utilization and trends and proactively address issues before those issues can impact engineering activities. You will work in Global Agile team where the activities are tracked and guided by a Product Owner/Chief Product Owner.
Your Profile and experience :
- Masters or Bachelors degree in engineering - computer science, electronics or equivalent
- 8 years of the experience in the eda license management and application development in the semiconductor industries
- Strong experience administering Linux-based systems (installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning).
- Hands‑on expertise with DevOps tools such as GitLab for CI/CD automation.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible, Shell/Python automation).
- Ability to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting engineering builds and deployments.
- Experience managing EDA/Engineering license servers (FlexLM, RLM, or similar) to ensure high availability.
- Experience managing non-FlexLM EDA licensing infrastructure set up
- Skilled in monitoring license usage, resolving checkout failures, and performing license optimization.
- Ability to generate license utilization reports, trend analysis, and predictive capacity planning.
- Strong understanding of compute farm / scheduler environments and design environment.
- Experience in troubleshooting cross‑platform issues involving compute nodes, license daemons, and network paths.
- Competence in data analytics, building dashboards (Splunk) for resource visibility.
- Ability to interpret large datasets, create visualizations, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Knowledge of cloud or hybrid environments and integrating DevOps pipelines into scalable infrastructures.
- Strong scripting ability in Python, Bash for automation and reporting workflows.
- Proven experience collaborating with CAD/IT/Engineering teams to support high‑performance workloads.
- Strong documentation, incident management, and root-cause analysis skills.
