We are looking for an experienced, bright, focused, technical, and motivated engineering manager to join our Optical Manufacturing Engineering team in Taichung, Taiwan. In this role, you will manage a team of 2-5 manufacturing engineers who own the optics infrastructure in one of NVIDIA's strategic products. As a team leader, you will guide the team through the New Product Introduction (NPI) and Mass Production (MP) phases to ensure adequate capacity to meet demand. including infrastructure readiness, process development and improvement, OSAT employee training, initial responses to line issues, FAT/SAT management, and the transition from NPI to MP. In the MP phase, the team's priorities will shift to operational excellence, machine availability optimization, consumable management, capacity management, support for the OSAT team, and monitoring key performance metrics (OEE, TOO, Availability, MTBF, MTT).

What you'll be doing:

Lead and supervise a team of 2–5 manufacturing engineers at the OSAT site in Taichung, ensuring clear priorities and effective daily execution.

Serve as the primary interface with OSAT, facilitating daily communication on infrastructure status, capacity readiness, and execution alignment.

Own optics manufacturing infrastructure including installation, qualification, availability, and overall equipment efficiency.

Ensure OSAT engineers and technicians are properly trained and capable of maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment.

Manage infrastructure spare parts and consumables, ensuring availability and optimal usage to support high-volume production.

Standardize and continuously improve maintenance and troubleshooting procedures, including defining and tracking relevant KPIs.

Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve production issues and prevent recurrence.

Develop team capability and collaborate cross-functionally to drive manufacturing strategies and sustain a high-availability optical production line.
What we need to see:
-
B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering/Manufacturing
-
8+ overall years of technical skills in Assembly Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/ Manufacturing Engineering, and 4+ years’ experience in an engineering management position.

Engineering/Optics Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Knowledge and experience in optics assembly.

People oriented.

Ability to set priorities and resolve conflicts.

Experience in supplier/OSAT management.
-
Performs well in an intensive and dynamic environment.

Fluent in English and Mandarin
Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Self-motivated and able to work effectively across different functional teams and subcontractors

Familiarity with Lean culture/tools/methodologies.
