About the role

At Nubank, hiring and moving talent across borders is a core part of how we grow. The Talent Acquisition and Global Mobility (Glo Mo) teams operate at high speed and scale — and the systems and workflows that support them need to match that pace. As a Senior IT Engineer embedded in this space, you will be responsible for designing and building the automation infrastructure that makes these teams faster, smarter, and more efficient.

This is a high-impact, AI-first engineering role. You will identify manual and inefficient processes, translate them into scalable automation solutions, and progressively integrate them with Nubank's core engineering stack. Your work will directly reduce operational friction for recruiters, mobility partners, and the people they support across multiple countries.
You'll be responsible for

Process Analysis & Optimization: Partnering closely with business stakeholders to map, analyze, and prioritize automation opportunities across TA and Glo Mo workflows — with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and cost reduction.

Automation Development & Implementation: Designing and building robust, scalable automation solutions using platforms such as n8n, Zapier, Ui Path, and others — including complex workflows and cross-system integrations.

AI-First Engineering: Applying an AI-first mindset to every workflow you build, leveraging tools like Claude Code, Claude API, and Glean to develop intelligent, agentic solutions that replace or augment manual processes.

Systems Integration: Designing and maintaining seamless data flows between Talent Acquisition and Glo Mo systems, ensuring data integrity and security across all automation workflows.

Custom Systems Development: Contributing to internal tools and systems that support TA and Glo Mo operations, with a progressive ramp-up into Nubank's core engineering stack (Clojure, Datomic, AWS).

Collaboration: Working closely with a fellow engineer, business stakeholders, recruiters, and Glo Mo partners to deliver automation solutions aligned with real operational needs.

Documentation & Knowledge Management: Maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation — including flow diagrams, technical manuals, and user guides — to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.

Innovation: Staying current with emerging automation and AI trends, proactively evaluating new tools and methodologies that could enhance or power new workflows.
We are looking for a person who has

At least 4 years of experience in software development with a focus on automation and systems integration.
-
Hands-on experience with workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier, or similar tools.

Experience with cloud data infrastructure, especially Big Query, for queries, data extraction, and integration with automation workflows.

Proven experience building with AI/LLM APIs — including prompt engineering, agentic workflows, and tools such as Claude, Gemini, or GPT.

Solid experience with RESTful API integrations and automation involving web services.

Strong knowledge of development best practices: code versioning, testing, and design patterns applied to automation contexts.

Ability to analyze, document, and optimize processes before automating them.

Clear and effective communication skills — able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Advanced English proficiency.
