Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineering Section Manager 2 to be located in Huntsville, AL.
This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You Will Get To Do:
As a Section Manager you will be expected to spend roughly 20% of your effort on Functional Homeroom responsibilities with 80% of your efforts focused on a technical assignment on an SDS project or IPT (80% technical scope not a part of the requisition).
The successful candidate will be experienced in systems engineering with one or more of the following specific skills: Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo), Requirements Management (DOORS), Verification Planning, Interface definition and planning, and Human Systems Integration/Human Factors Engineering.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years of experience or Master's degree in STEM and 6 years of experience.

Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years
-
Must have a current Sentinel Special Access Program (SAP).
-
1 year of experience utilizing EVM techniques.
-
1 year of experience in Human Systems Integration / Human Factors Engineering.
-
Existing technical scope of work within the Systems Engineering Team (SET) of the Sentinel Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT) Segment.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
-
Master’s degree in STEM.
-
General understanding of NG Systems Engineering Processes.

Minimum 1 year of demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Working knowledge and/or experience across engineering disciplines (SE, SW, HW, etc.).
-
Experience with ICBMs.
-
Prior experience managing/leading an engineering team to include performance reviews for direct reports.
-
Knowledge of deriving requirements from MIL-STD-1472 and implementing them on a major DoD Acquisition program.
-
5 years’ experience as an Earned Value Management System Control Account Manager (EVMS CAM) and/or past profit and loss statement (P&L) accountability.

Excellent communication, mentoring, interpersonal skills, and ability to interface with senior management, peers, and employees.
