Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Precision Electromechanical Assembler based in** Salt Lake City, UT**. This position will work the Weekday 2nd shift.

What You’ll get to Do:

• Perform wiring and component installation and hand soldering, disassembling, modifying, reworking or reassembling units using various hand and pneumatic tools.
• May perform mechanical assembly, cable assembly, component forming and mounting, high reliability assembly.
• Expected to work with various chemicals and solvents for long periods.
• Work from verbal or written instructions that provide detailed methods and sequence of assembly operations in addition to using wiring diagrams and assembly drawings.

Basic Qualifications for the Precision Microelectronic Assembler 2:

• High School diploma and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Must be available for 2nd shift
• Must be able to stand for prolong periods.
• Able to achieve J-STD-001 certification.

Preferred Qualifications for the Precision Microelectronic Assembler 2:

• Experience with techniques, approaches, guidelines, policies, and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing assembly techniques to make modifications, reworks, and assemblies.
• J-STD-001 solder certification or soldering experience.
• Experience with performing basic problem-solving techniques which are fully defined and available through the supervisor, coworkers, and written materials
• Experience in handling / splicing fiber optic materials.

The ideal candidate must be able to communicate, work in a team environment, achieve soldering certification, and be available for the 9/80 Second Shift Schedule.

Primary Level Salary Range: $40,700.00 - $67,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
