• Capability Upgrade Program* to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.
  In this role you will be a dynamic Systems Engineering (SE) leader to drive the technical execution of a high visibility capability upgrade program. You will orchestrate all SE disciplines-Safety, Requirements & Verification, Specialty Engineering, and Configuration & Data Management-while ensuring the program meets schedule, cost, and performance objectives. This role demands a hands on technical expert who can also act as a catalyst for process improvement, leveraging deep experience with IBM DOORS to maintain rigorous requirements traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
  Roles and Responsibilities will include:

Leadership of Verification Planning:

Direct day to day coordination across multidisciplinary boundaries and with USG counterparts.
Ensure review deliverables are complete, technically sound, and aligned with program milestones.

Proposal & Estimating Support:

Contribute technical expertise to long term effort proposals, cost estimates, and schedule forecasts.

Requirements & Verification Management (DOORS)
Ensure requirements are captured, traced, and verified throughout the lifecycle.
Develop and maintain DXL scripts to automate routine tasks, generate custom reports, and improve data consistency.

Process Improvement
Conduct periodic SE process reviews; identify bottlenecks and implement best practice enhancements.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., root cause analysis, lessons learned capture, tool integration).

Skills Needed:

Substantial experience and proficiency with DOORS

Experience using Earned Value Management:

Experience briefing or leading technical reviews

Basic Qualifications:Must have a Bachelors degree in a STEM field and at least 8 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field and at least 6 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 4 years of relevant military / professional experience
Must have a DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
