Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer / Senior Principal Systems Engineer. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.
What you'll get to do:

The selected candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills and will have a good track record as a self-motivated driven contributor who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
They will have an ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across multiple functional areas as required to accomplish programmatic and team objectives.
The candidate will develop and maintain design review procedures, tools for tracking progress and action items against major milestones, incorporate lessons learned, and facilitate design reviews.
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03) or Senior Principal Systems Engineer level (T-04).

**Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree, 1 year with a PhD.
Sr. Principal Systems Engineer: *Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 Years of related experience; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.*Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience developing and conducting design reviews and other major program events.
Demonstrated experience collaborating cross-functionally with Integrated Product Teams, suppliers, and customer counterparts.
Experience owning, processing, and implementing change requests through engineering review boards.
Experience across all phases of the program life cycle.
Experience developing and managing tools (Jira, Confluence, Power BI, etc.).
Demonstrated experience leading teams on large complex programs.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
