Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Engineer(Casual/On-call Employee) to support our Armament Systems Business Unit.

This position is non-exempt, hourly with no benefits.

This role is for technical professional employees who are typically scheduled to work 20 hours per week or less, or do not have a set schedule, temporary or on-call. There are no levels associated with this job.

Job duties:

Responsible for research and/or product development in more than one engineering discipline.

Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts

Minimum Qualifications:

This position emphasizes skills first

• Must have High School Diploma plus 16 years of relevant experience as Engineer list responsibilities/associated tasks
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or closely relevant STEM discipline plus 12+ years of related experience; or Master's degree plus 10 years of experience, or PhD plus 8 years of experience.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Prior experience as Staff Engineer with Northrop Grumman

Primary Level Salary Range: $153,600.00 - $230,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
