  Position Overview:
• The Systems Engineer
• Leve 3 or 4 will be a part of the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) product line under the Architecture and Delivery (A&D) Integrated Product Team. Through this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the cornerstone of The Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) layered missile defense architecture and advance a 60+ year mission to defend our homeland.
  You'll develop systems engineering products that directly support the design and development of GWS (Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS)) capabilities on behalf of The Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

  Basic Qualifications:

• Principal Systems Engineer

• Level 3: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM and 3 years of related work experience, or 1 year of related work experience with a PhD in STEM.
  **Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Level 4: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM and 6 years of related work experience, or 4 years of related work experience with a PhD in STEM.
  Applicants must have a current, active in-scope US Government issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start.

Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs
2+ years of experience with requirements decomposition, requirements management, or verification efforts. (4+ years of experience for Level 4)
Verification experience or knowledge
Must be able to work on-site in an office environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS

Primary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
