Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team supporting the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) Program. This role will be a critical member of the Software team that will be responsible for development on the DARC system. The DARC Software development team is headquartered out of Colorado Springs but may require occasional travel to the DARC sites.

This role can be placed at Level 3/Principal OR Level 4/Sr. Principal.

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Assist with developing and documenting detailed software designs traceable to system and functional requirements.
• Effectively troubleshoot, and debug SW identified SW issues.
• Support ongoing SW development and feature integration for future DARC SW releases while in Colorado Spring.

Basic Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance at the time of application
• Level 3/Principal: 5 years with a Bachelors in Science, 3 years with a Masters in Science degree, and 1 years with the PHD
• Level 4/Sr. Principal: 8 years with a Bachelors in Science, 6 years with a Masters in Science degree, and 4 years with the PHD
• Java/C++/Python
• Docker Experience
• Experience working with the UI/UX development
• System of System or SOA design and theory (see patterns)
• Enterprise Service Bus (Kafka)
• Ability to design an implementation to verification
• AC, test, functional, etc.
• Experienced in Cameo software design (UML/SysML)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Digital Signal Processing
• Experience with Radar Signal Processing

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
