Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Project Management/ Senior Principal Project Management Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is on a 9/80 work schedule will be located in Clearfield, Utah.

The role will also establish and maintain proposal metrics, drive insights for leadership, and complete other operations & integrations project management duties as needed.

This position is seeking a highly motivated, strong communicator to join the Global Supply Chain Program Management (GSCPM)

Essential Functions:

  • Analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
  • Prepares budgets and schedules for GSC scope of work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis
  • Manages material and/or labor control portfolios related to the GSC Statement of work
  • Provide the progress of work against the schedule and update forecast based in conjunction with cost planners and business stakeholders
  • Review sales forecast with business stakeholders and implement changes. Communicate updates and status on monthly basis to leadership
  • Identify scope changes and coordinate budget and schedule impacts with business management as well as business stakeholders via Change Requests
  • Support program development of Change Board packages
  • Analyze and report significant cost and schedule variances to business stakeholders. Develop and complete the variance analysis report (VAR) and close outstanding action items.
  • Helps lead and manage GSC team through all proposal efforts, material strategy, and overall successful execution in accordance with Program cost and schedule budgets, Procurement and Subcontract processes/procedures and Prime Customer requirements
  • Facilitate and aid development of major stakeholders in Risk, Issue and Opportunity and bring to the program. Exercise and track mitigation steps to close actions
  • Review change board packages and assess for potential impacts
  • Coordinate with Cost Management to process budget/scope and/or EAC EVCR
  • Track implementation of scope change to closure
  • Report and accuracy monthly to program and GSC leadership
  • Establishes rhythms, processes, and tool aids to synchronize Global Supply Chain (GSC) functions across enterprise and division.
  • Presents to enterprise leadership on program and business status. Manage up and out and prepare business stakeholders for program meetings.
  • Drive dashboard creation using program tools, including Tableau
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to identify and implement potential initiatives.
  • Communicate plan and status to program leadership through classified and unclassified data calls.

This position will attend program meetings and may be required to present to groups. Must be able to work independently and have strong organizational skills. This position requires previous in-depth and direct experience in of EVM Processes and Tools. This position must independently demonstrate the skill and ability to perform complex professional tasks.

Basic Qualifications:Principal Project Management(Level 3):

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years, Master's Degree with 3 years, or in lieu of degree 9 years related experience. Experience must be in the following: Supply Chain, Project Management, Sustainment, Proposals and/or Capture Efforts, Resource Planning, Accounting, Program Management, Program Scheduling, Program Cost Analysis, Finance, or Business Management
  • Must have an ACTIVE DoD secret security clearance and ability to obtain/maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable time deemed by business needs
  • Experience with Microsoft Office ( i.e. Excel)
  • Cost, Estimating, CAM (Control Account Management), and/or EVM (Earned Value Management) experience
  • Experience with audits

Senior Principal Project Management(Level 4):

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree with 8 years, Master's Degree with 6 years, or in lieu of degree 12 years related experience. Experience must be in the following: Supply Chain, Project Management, Sustainment, Proposals and/or Capture Efforts, Resource Planning, Accounting, Program Management, Program Scheduling, Program Cost Analysis, Finance, or Business Management
  • Must have an ACTIVE DoD secret security clearance and ability to obtain/maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable time deemed by business needs
  • Experience with Microsoft Office ( i.e. Excel)
  • Cost, Estimating, CAM (Control Account Management), and/or EVM (Earned Value Management) experience
  • Experience with audits

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace background
  • Supply chain, cost mgmt. or CAM experience
  • SAP
  • MS office Suite knowledge

  • Ability to lead through, overcome and adapt to obstacles and challenges; Deals effectively with change and challenges and helps others to do the same

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
