Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Engineer Software - DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure to join our DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located on-site in Melbourne, Florida.

DevOps Engineers are responsible for designing and managing the Cloud infrastructure. Duties include deploying product updates, setting up software factory, virtual machines, containers, and orchestration. The role will have a large impact on team productivity and as such requires an understanding of the software development lifecycle and various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/CD pipelines).

You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, such as with Systems Engineering, Real-time & Embedded Software, Test Automation, DevOps and Systems Test, in an Agile software development environment. You will analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.

Essential Functions:

• Work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels
• Participate in the full software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, qualification, and delivery of software products to our customers
• Manage cloud infrastructure tools and data
• Manage and improve container orchestration and deployment strategies.
• Develop tools to manage continuous integration, software stack support, code quality and coverage

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience in software engineering OR a Master’s degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 0 years of experience in software engineering
• Ability to implement software and scripts in one or more programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Go, PowerShell, VBScript, Bash, AND/OR Korn Shell
• Knowledge of at least one of the following Cloud technologies and service providers: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft (MS) Azure, Google Cloud
• Knowledge of Defining Roadmap, Architecting, Designing, Implementing Cyber Remediation AND Cyber Compliance (Risk Management Framework
• RMF)
• Active in-scope DoD Secret Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain (and maintain) special program access (PAR)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience AND/OR Certification with cloud and container management & security technologies such as: VMWare, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Redhat Open Shift, Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Nomad.
• Recent Demonstrated Experience Defining Roadmap, Architecting, Designing, Implementing Cyber Remediation AND Cyber Compliance (Risk Management Framework
• RMF).
• Recent Demonstrated Experience Architecting, Designing, Implementing, Maintaining, and Administrating micro-services for Cloud and Application Systems tracing to user/system requirements using cloud services such as: Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
• Recent Demonstrated Professional Experience with one of the following continuous deployment systems: Octopus, ArgoCD, Code Stream, Eletric Flow, AWS AND/OR Code Pipeline.
• Experience working in an Agile Framework
• Differentiating characteristics include demonstrated leadership, teamwork and collaboration capabilities, and strong interpersonal communication skills.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
