The Senior Consultant, Procurement Demand Management is a key member of the Global Procurement Center of Excellence, responsible for driving and delivering cost optimization through product‑level and consumption‑based analysis, with a primary focus on indirect procurement and IT sourcing.
This role partners closely with Global Procurement, Business Units, Finance, and Technology teams to identify utilization‑driven cost optimization opportunities—often across multiple data sources. The role combines strong procurement and financial expertise with advanced analytics, automation, and innovation to enable data‑driven sourcing and negotiation decisions.
Major Duties:
Drive measurable cost savings and cost avoidance as a primary KPI for Procurement Demand Management, leveraging product‑level utilization analysis, financial modeling, and AI‑enabled insights across indirect procurement, with emphasis on IT sourcing.
Identify, quantify, and track cost optimization opportunities by assessing utilization, over‑licensing, and demand drivers across suppliers, contracts, and business units.
Serve as a trusted advisor to category managers, vendor managers, finance partners, and business stakeholders—challenging assumptions, reconciling competing views of demand, and guiding decisions when data is incomplete or contested.
Apply advanced financial modeling and analytics to translate utilization and demand insights into actionable sourcing strategies and negotiation recommendations.
Design and implement AI‑driven and automated solutions to continuously monitor utilization, surface savings opportunities, and prevent future cost leakage.
Review contracts at the product and consumption level to support renewals, negotiations, and demand shaping initiatives that drive incremental savings.
Lead cross‑functional discussions to analyze spend, utilization trends, and sourcing opportunities.
Provide coaching and guidance to team members supporting demand analytics, automation, and procurement intelligence.
Knowledge:
Strong experience in financial analysis, including planning, forecasting, and projections, with the ability to link insights to measurable cost savings and cost avoidance outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex usage, consumption, or demand data, including assessing data quality, assumptions, and limitations. Proficiency in business and analytics tools, including BI platforms, financial tools, and Microsoft Office 365.
Experience designing or applying AI‑driven and automated analytics to identify cost optimization opportunities.
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, lead cross‑functional initiatives, and operate effectively in ambiguous or evolving environments.
Strong understanding of process improvement and continuous improvement, including identifying and implementing automation opportunities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial and analytical insights to senior business stakeholders. Highly adaptable and collaborative, with a strong understanding of business drivers and their impact on cost, demand, and sourcing decisions.
Experience:
College or University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 5–7 years of relevant experience. Prior experience in sourcing or procurement is a plus.
Strong financial analysis and modeling experience required, including planning, forecasting, and projections.
Experience working with procurement, financial, or asset management platforms (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, ERP, SAM, or finance systems) to analyze spend, utilization, and supplier data.
Professional certifications are a plus.
Salary Range:
$78,945 - 134,235 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
