Asset Protection - Project Manager 2 - Training & Execution
Job Description
The Project Manager 2 (PM2) supports the execution of Asset Protection (AP) training and enablement initiatives that deliver meaningful business impact across Stores, Supply Chain, and Corporate AP teams. This role owns the day‑to‑day execution, maintenance, and smaller‑scale project delivery for AP training programs, while partnering closely with a Program Manager on larger, long‑term learning journeys and onboarding strategies.
The PM2 is accountable for ensuring training initiatives are delivered on time, with high quality, and in alignment with established standards, while responding to emerging needs, field feedback, and operational changes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring consistency, clarity, and adoption of AP training across the enterprise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Execution

Own end‑to‑end delivery of small to medium AP training and enablement projects, ensuring scope, timelines, and quality standards are met

Execute project work that feeds into larger, long‑term programs led by the Training and Execution Team, ensuring alignment and consistency

Manage multiple concurrent initiatives using defined project management methodology and tools
Training Development & Delivery
-
Plan, develop, and manage recurring AP training initiatives (e.g., AP 360 Monthly Trainings)
-
Design and deliver one‑off or ad‑hoc trainings in the LMS in response to emerging trends, new technology or tool rollouts and new or updated AP processes
-
Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and execution‑ready
-
Ensure training materials support knowledge retention, consistency, and application in the field
Documentation & Content Management
-
Manage recurring documentation update cycles, including Bi‑annual onboarding document reviews, Policy and procedural updates
-
Maintain and organize AP training content housed in Share Point and LMS platforms
-
Conduct quality reviews of training documentation for clarity, accuracy, and compliance with AP standards
-
Support the cleanup, archiving, and modernization of legacy training materials and sites
Intake, Prioritization & Stakeholder Support
-
Monitor and manage the APTE Project Intake Form, including intake review, prioritization, and status tracking
-
Serve as a point of contact for field questions and issues related to Workday/LMS training
-
Provide responsive support to field partners while balancing intake demand with delivery commitments
-
Escalate risks, dependencies, or scope changes appropriately to leadership or Program Manager partners
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
-
Coordinate with cross‑functional partners (AP Operations, Supply Chain, Stores, HR, Learning, Technology) to ensure training initiatives align with current business standards

Collaborate closely with the Training and Execution Program Office to:

Align on priorities, sequencing, and timelines
-
Execute components of larger learning journeys and onboarding experiences
-
Surface execution risks and opportunities for improvement
-
Participate in status calls and working sessions as needed to ensure alignment and momentum
Project Tracking & Communication
-
Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and tracking artifacts
-
Communicate clear, consistent project status updates, including milestones, risks and mitigations, dependencies and decisions needed
-
Adjust execution plans as business needs evolve, while maintaining delivery discipline
Quality Control & Continuous Improvement
-
Perform ongoing quality checks throughout project execution to ensure content accuracy, alignment to AP standards and messaging, and consistent learner experience

Identify execution gaps, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
-
Apply feedback and lessons learned to improve future training initiatives
Performance & Impact Accountability

Deliver work that supports measurable business outcomes, including:

Increased completion rates of AP training modules
-
Improved onboarding consistency
-
Reduction in turnover over time
-
Execution improvements across AP KPIs (internal, external, recoveries, professional certifications)
-
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within agreed scope, aligning to enterprise expectations

Uphold Nordstrom leadership principles through content quality, ownership, and customer focus

QUALIFICATIONS:
-
1-3+ years’ Project Management Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
-
Basic knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
-
Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, or Smartsheet.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
-
Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), SCORM file creation, and e-learning platforms.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Strong organizational and time management skills.
-
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
-
Problem-solving and adaptability.
-
CAPM (Certified associate in project management) a plus
-
Scrum Master or Agile Fundamentals certification.

Google Project Management Certificate or similar online programs
