招聘
In an increasingly connected world, the pandemic has highlighted just how essential telecom networks are to keeping society running. The Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to connectivity, pushing the boundaries to deliver more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise
Join Optical Networks division, where innovation meets scale in the AI-driven data center era. With the recent acquisition of Infinera, we’ve united two industry leaders to create an optical networking powerhouse—combining cutting-edge technology with proven leadership to redefine the future of connectivity.
Infinera is now part of the Nokia Corporation and its subsidiaries. When you apply, the information you share will be handled with care and used only for recruitment purposes within the group.
We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our advanced optical systems team at Nokia (Nuremberg), responsible for the design and development of next-generation optical modem technology operating at the highest data rates and transmission capacities. This role requires deep expertise in digital communication theory, advanced physical layer modeling, signal processing, lab testing and debugging. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, high-performance environment to drive innovation in coherent optical transmission systems.
-
Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related discipline with a strong focus on communication systems.
-
Minimum of five years of experience in the physical layer of high-speed data communication systems, including research and practical implementation.
-
Must have intimate knowledge of internals of high-speed interleaved ADCs, DACs and PLLs.
-
Proven laboratory experience with real-time optical systems and high-speed analog test equipment such as high-end sampling and storage oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and phase noise test sets.
-
Proven experience with computer simulations of communication systems using MATLAB and C/C++.
-
Proven experience in laboratory automation using Python.
-
Understanding of fiber optic channels, modem impairments, and real-time implementation of optical transmission systems is desirable.
-
Strong background in digital signal processing and control loops is highly valued.
-
Familiarity with RTL/Verilog or hardware-oriented algorithm design is an asset.
-
Design and optimize next-generation optical transport systems, focusing on maximizing data rates while minimizing power consumption and system complexity.
-
Develop, implement, and validate digital signal processing algorithms enabling the operation of high-speed ADCs, DACs and PLLs in coherent optical communication systems.
-
Conduct testing and measurement of high-speed analog electronic devices, including ADCs, DACs, and PLLs, as part of ASIC bring-up and electro-optic system integration.
-
Define and contribute to firmware algorithms for in-service operation of high-speed ADCs and DACs.
-
Participate in system-level validation and performance analysis, ensuring robustness and reliability of the modem solution.
