Educational Recommendations
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field at an accredited U.S. university.
- Practical knowledge of oscilloscopes, logic-analyzers, and digital debug techniques.
- Exposure to digital design, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools.
- Familiarity with FPGA design methodologies (VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog).
- Knowledge of FPGA vendor tools (e.g., Xilinx, Intel/Altera).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team-oriented lab environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with Arduino or Raspberry Pi development boards.

Exposure to optical systems or prior project experience in related areas.

Assist with schematic design and PCB layout.

Support circuit board bring-up, testing, and debugging.

Trying to decide between Nokia (not Bell Labs) and IBM Research Triangle Park (Durham).
