You will be part of a team responsible for developing a rover based on the new Arduino Uno Q platform, designed for rescue mission support. The rover will be capable of communicating via 5G networks and running local AI algorithms to assist in real-time decision-making and environmental analysis.
The project focuses on integrating embedded systems, communication technologies, and AI-based processing to create an intelligent robotic platform for emergency and rescue scenarios.
Duration: up to 8h/day
Period: July-September
Submission deadline: May, 6th
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program
- Applicants may apply to a maximum of 2 projects
- Knowledge of C programming for embedded systems
- Experience with Arduino development or similar microcontroller platforms
- Familiarity with image processing techniques
- Interest in robotics, AI, and autonomous systems
- Ability to work with hardware-software integration challenges
- Develop and program the rover using the Arduino Uno Q platform
- Implement embedded software for hardware control and sensor integration
- Enable 5G-based communication between the rover and remote systems
- Support integration of locally running AI models for real-time decision support
- Work on image processing functionalities for environmental analysis
- Assist in testing and validating rover performance in simulated rescue scenarios
- Debug and optimize embedded system behavior for reliability and efficiency
- Collaborate with the team on hardware-software integration tasks
