Domain Architect – Cloud & Platform Architecture

You will work closely with product, development, and operations teams to turn business needs into clear, pragmatic architecture solutions, balancing innovation, scalability, performance, and security. Your work will directly impact how Nokia delivers reliable, modern cloud solutions at scale.

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Strong experience designing distributed systems using cloud‑native architectures
• Hands‑on knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker, and experience with at least one cloud/platform environment (AWS, Azure, GCP, Open Shift, or VMware Tanzu)
• Solid background in microservices, CI/CD, Linux, networking, and security concepts
• Experience producing and reviewing HLDs and LLDs, with the ability to explain trade‑offs clearly
• Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot large‑scale, complex systems in production

Nice to have:

• Experience in the Telecom domain or large‑scale service platforms
• Familiarity with Open Stack and/or VMware environments
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, MariaDB, or Cassandra
• Hands‑on exposure to automation and Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, Chef)
• Knowledge of Keycloak, messaging systems, and workflow engines

• Design and evolve scalable, secure cloud-native architectures for mission‑critical systems
• Translate business and product requirements into clear architectural decisions and technical designs (HLD/LLD)
• Drive architecture governance and best practices across teams and projects
• Act as a technical leader in cross‑functional initiatives, identifying risks and guiding teams toward robust solutions
• Support teams during implementation, performance analysis, and troubleshooting complex production environments
• Continuously evaluate new technologies and patterns, integrating them where they create real business value
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and long‑term architecture strategy
• Mentor engineers and architects, fostering a collaborative and high‑quality engineering culture
