EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Currently enrolled candidate for, Diploma in Engineering or Computer Science or related field with an accredited school in Canada.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills are required
- The candidate must be able to successfully work in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast paced, innovative environment
It would be nice if you also had:
- Knowledge in IP networking, familiar with networking concepts.
- Familiar or proficient with different LINUX operating systems (i.e Centos)
- Scripting languages – bash, php and css
- Familiar with debugging programs such as eclipse
- Familiar with databases (i.e. MYSQL)
- Working with code repositories – cvs, git.
As a part of our team, you will:
- Set-up and configure any new routers, servers, or storage within functional and cloud based labs.
- Introduce new products and technologies into R&D labs.
- Provide appropriate level of training to designers and testers on lab environment and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and debug node configurations.
- Light to medium lab moves.
- Software installations, system configurations, restoring and backing up databases.
- Installation and configuration of new equipment into existing networks.
- Understanding of common Redhat/Ubuntu/Centos operations such as managing users, installing packages, cron jobs, disk/partitioning, etc.
