This role is a senior project leadership position at Nokia where you take full ownership of critical customer projects from the earliest stages through to execution. You’re involved even before the project begins, helping shape the approach during pre-sales, then setting up the team, defining how the work will be delivered, and overseeing governance and stakeholder coordination throughout.

You’re also the person brought in when projects are at risk. If there are delays, budget issues, or customer dissatisfaction, you step in to stabilize the situation, put recovery plans in place, and get things back on track.

At the same time, the role has a strong relationship and business aspect. You work closely with internal teams, customers, and sales, building trust and ensuring that project delivery aligns with customer needs while also supporting the promotion of Nokia’s network infrastructure solutions. Overall, you’re accountable for both successful delivery and maintaining strong customer confidence in high-stakes situations.

  • Understands the PMI Framework : PM Knowledge Areas, and Processes organized into the Process Groups (Initiation, Planning’s, Execution, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing)

  • Proven track record in leading people – across many disciplines, these include, technical mastery, project management, people leadership

  • Strong commercial and financial competency, with the ability to analyse detail while retaining the big picture

  • Ability to form strong bonds with customers, understand their business needs and drivers, then translate into Nokia deliverables.

  • Relevant degree

  • Minimum 10 year experience within IT/Telco industry, of which, minimum 7 years experience in hands-on operational managing of project delivery

  • Proven experience in managing delivery teams

  • Experience communicating to senior-level management

  • Strong people skills and able to build & sustain strong customer relationship

  • Ideally have a project management qualification

  • Ensure that the projects in the cluster is delivered within the approved budget and profitability forecast. Based on the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), manage the cost to complete and cost to control.

  • Responsible to ensure the PM team in adopting the EXECUTE process for the project implementation.

  • Develop and sustains margins and productivity improvement plans, driving optimization of the organizations involved in the delivery.

  • Anticipate risk and evaluate related financial with risk mitigation plan and customer satisfaction impacts, working with responsible project managers for the projects in the cluster.

  • Manage tactical contingency plans for the projects in the cluster.

  • Leads customer/project escalation process and supports to secure and restore the quality of the deliveries.

  • Ensures appropriate PM involvement in SELL process, including risk assessment, cost assumptions and timing.

  • Attend Senior Management Customer Meetings on project deliverables when needed

  • Required to work closely with the other department in the organization to ensure the successful outcome of the projects.
