Nokia Space Networks business focuses on creating customized solutions and developing LTE and 5G commercial RAN, Cloud and Core products for our customers operating in NTN. NTN project is Nokia co-operation with AST Space Mobile company that enables innovative, direct-to-mobile over-the-satellite communication in 3GPP LTE and 5G standard.

 We are looking for a passionate and highly experienced System Architect, eager to shape the architecture of next‑generation high‑end telecommunication systems. In this role, you will drive end‑to‑end solutions, influence key technical decisions, and define system‑level directions for NTN technologies.

• Min 5 years of professional experience as a System Architect or Network Architect in telecom
• Strong knowledge of LTE/5G, NTN, satellite communication systems
• Previous work in R&D, telecom, or space industry.
• Experience with creating system-level requirements, architecture specifications, and interface definitions
• Strong knowledge of 3GPP LTE / 5G architectures, including RAN protocols and system-level interactions
• Thorough knowledge of Nokia Air Scale products architecture
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Very good communication skills in English – both verbal and written
• Readiness to work in a hybrid mode (Nokia Kraków office) is a must

Nice to have

• Experience in commercial LEO/MEO/GEO projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field

• Defining and reviewing system-level requirements, functional specifications, and interface descriptions for LTE/5G/NTN features
• Designing end‑to‑end architecture for radio access solutions
• Translating customer, project, and standardization requirements (3GPP) into clear system designs
• Providing architectural guidance for software, hardware, and integration teams working across multiple components
• Reviewing design proposals, providing feedback, and ensuring architectural consistency across subsystems
• Performing impact analysis, feasibility assessments, and defining solution alternatives
• Supporting feature decomposition and contributing to planning activities with project and product managers
• Cooperating with test teams on defining verification scope, coverage, and system-level test strategies
• Analyzing complex issues in radio and protocol stack interactions, providing high‑level direction for debugging
• Preparing system documentation, diagrams, and architecture models
• Driving architectural improvements, best practices, and innovation initiatives
• Collaborate with customers to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and ensure architectural alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical support for customer requests and investigate reported issues to ensure timely resolution
