Job Title: Core Technical Intern
Location: Bogotá, Colombia (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months / 1 year

Education Recommendations: Students in their last semesters of Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computational Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering.

Overview:

As a Core Technical Intern, you will join our Customer Technology team supporting delivery and operations of Nokia Cloud Core and Applications solutions for major mobile service providers across Latin America. You will work alongside experienced engineers on IMS Voice, Packet Core and Cloud Infrastructure platforms, gaining hands-on experience in automation, cloud technologies and telecom solutions while developing skills for future growth within Nokia.

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python.
• Experience working with Linux(commands, navigation, basic troubleshooting).
• Skills in Excel and/or Power BI (advanced formulas, pivot tables, dashboards).
• Basic experience with data analytics (cleaning data, identifying patterns, reporting).
• Knowledge of the Office Suite (documenting, reporting, presentations).
• Basic theoretical understanding of Kubernetes (concepts such as pods, containers, clusters).

Really nice to have:

• Foundations in AI concepts (general understanding, not expert level).

• Scripting experience (Python, Shell or similar).

• Understanding of telecommunications or cloud technologies.

• Previous internship or academic project experience related to IT, data or engineering.

• Assist in monitoring system performance, analyzing data and identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot issues and support service delivery and platform operations.

• Participate in process improvement activities, helping simplify and optimize recurring tasks.

• Gain hands-on experience in cloud core technologies, automation tools and telecom solutions.

• Develop strong problem‑solving, data analysis and technical support skills in a global environment.
