The SW Quality Assurance Engineer is a core member of a cross‑functional Scrum team, driving the overall quality strategy for advanced Nokia optical networking solutions. In this senior role, you will influence product architecture, guide best‑in‑class test practices, and ensure quality is embedded throughout the entire R&D lifecycle. You will mentor team members, lead complex quality initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement across multiple Agile teams in a multicultural, collaborative environment.
You have
- Understanding of optical transmission fundamentals
- Experience with Python and exposure to pytest or other test automation frameworks
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with software testing concepts and test automation fundamentals
It would be also nice if you had
- Interest or initial experience with AI/ML applications in software testing
- ISTQB certification (or willingness to obtain it)
- Personal or academic projects related to testing or automation
- Contribute to the Product R&D lifecycle with guidance from more experienced team members
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily scrums, reviews, retrospectives), supporting requirement analysis and test case discussions
- Design, develop, and execute automated tests using Python and pytest, aligned with the team’s Definition of Done
- Support the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks and test suites
- Assist in identifying defects, analyzing test results, and reporting issues clearly
- Learn and apply AI-assisted testing techniques, such as LLM-supported test design, automated test generation, and test data creation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices and test processes
