This Optical Lab Technician role focuses on providing hands-on technical support for the development and testing of advanced optical components and systems, directly contributing to the future of high-speed optical data transmission. You will leverage your precision and expertise in handling delicate optical equipment, performing critical measurements, and maintaining laboratory operations. Throughout your work, you will collaborate closely with experienced optical engineers and researchers, receiving practical guidance and support to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our innovative optical solutions.

You have/are:

• Experience as a laboratory technician or in an operational support role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Experience with fiber handling techniques
• Knowledge of ESD safety procedures
• Skills in database creation and adaptation, with excellent proficiency in MS Access and SQL
• Good understanding of Supply Chain processes, including purchasing and supplier management
• An ability to autonomously manage tasks and track progress across functional teams

It would be nice if you also had:

• Experience with instrument calibration processes

• Knowledge in optical technologies and assemblies

• Experience in import/export processes

• Hands-on experience with optical measurement instruments

• Act as a dedicated laboratory technician for the Test Engineering team, providing hands-on support for test activities

• Manage the calibration of laboratory instruments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and maintaining calibration records

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for test benches and procedures

• Collaborate with the development and documentation of automated manufacturing test solutions

• Manage investments related to laboratory equipment and infrastructure

• Coordinate logistics for the laboratory and for assets provided to our EMS partners

• Oversee equipment tracking and asset management for both internal lab assets and those at external manufacturing plants

• Execute purchase order creation and tracking for necessary equipment and materials
