Role Purpose

This role sits in the Greater China Integrated Marketplace (IMP) Strategy team with a strong brick-and-mortar focus. The candidate will be a key partner to stores leadership across headquarters, territory, and field, shaping growth strategy across physical retail channels and driving the B&M to broader marketplace initiative. This candidate will lead strategic planning and serve as the strategic brain behind shaping the next chapter of premium retail and B&M growth in Greater China.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

  • Lead core strategy gates and annual planning for IMP with a B&M lens.
  • Align priorities across IMP so brand, product, and marketplace plans move in one direction.
  • Identify new growth opportunities across the marketplace with a focus on physical retail, and translate them into clear, actionable strategies and roadmaps.

Business Performance Reviews

  • Orchestrate stores weekly, monthly, quarterly, and critical doors business reviews.
  • Deliver sharp insights on B&M performance to inform timely decisions.
  • Maintain consistent KPI definitions, targets, and tracking across retail formats and retail partners.

Strategic Projects Execution

  • Lead B&M strategic projects that unlock commercial growth and profitability in stores.
  • Drive cross-functional work with merchandising, marketing, operations, analytics, finance, and store teams to land outcomes on time and on scope.
  • Codify best practices from store operations and retail excellence into repeatable playbooks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • 7+ years in strategy, consulting, or within a sports brand, retail, or FMCG environment; hands-on project or in-house experience in physical retail is strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of retail operations and the China retail landscape; experience with wholesale or direct business is a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinking and structured problem solving; able to move from insight to action with proven success leading cross-functional projects in a matrix environment.
  • Solid analytics fluency; comfortable with dashboards, sell-through analysis, and store performance metrics.
  • Clear and concise communication in English and Chinese, written and verbal.
