WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will be part of Nike’s Global Labor Compliance team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Labor Compliance APGC. This team operates across a complex, multi-country environment, partnering with Payroll, Global People Solutions, People Solutions Consultants, Business HR, and Employment Legal to drive sound and consistent labor compliance across Asia Pacific.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike is looking for a seasoned labor compliance and employment law professional who leads with clarity and acts with purpose. You bring strong judgment, a pragmatic mindset, and the ability to navigate complexity across countries, cultures, and evolving regulations. You know how to balance compliance risk with business momentum and translate compliance into action.

You’re a trusted advisor. You build credibility quickly, communicate with confidence, and partner seamlessly across functions. In a matrixed, fast-moving environment, you stay curious, adapt quickly, and lean into ambiguity. You embrace new ways of working—including technology and AI—to continuously improve how labor compliance is delivered. Above all, you value collaboration, inclusivity, and delivering solutions that work in the real world.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field, with at least 6 years of HR experience specializing in employment/labor compliance, employee relations, or related compliance matters, and a strong working knowledge of Asia Pacific labor laws and regulatory requirements, including experience supporting multiple countries within the region; or

  • Professional legal qualification (or equivalent recognized law degree) with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in employment, labor, or workplace law.

  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and influence cross-functional partners in a matrixed, multinational environment

  • Preferred: Regional or cross-border experience and proficiency in a second language

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will drive labor compliance across Asia Pacific—translating law into action, enabling the business to move forward with confidence while managing compliance risk. You’ll partner cross-functionally, shape processes, and respond to an evolving regulatory landscape with clarity and speed.

  • Advise HR and business partners on labor compliance topics including wages, working time, leave, terminations, severance, and social security across Asia Pacific

  • Monitor labor law developments across the region, assess compliance and business impact, brief stakeholders on legislative changes, and partner with them to identify and implement required operational changes.

  • Lead labor audit engagements and regulatory interactions including preparing stakeholders, reviewing submissions, and managing risk mitigation

  • Identify labor compliance risks and lead discussions with stakeholders to ensure risks are addressed, mitigated, or appropriately managed.

  • Collaborate closely with Payroll, Global People Solutions, People Solutions Consultants, Business HR, and Employment Legal to deliver consistent and scalable solutions

  • Develop and refine labor compliance guidance, standard operating procedures, and playbooks to ensure consistent regional application.

  • Support regional projects and continuous improvement efforts, including adoption of technology and AI-enabled solutions
