WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will work closely in squads with the Assortment Planning and Merchandising teams for Nike Direct Stores. Further collaboration will take place with Territory/Store, MPO, Location Planning, Merchandising, Allocation Operations and Financial Planning teams.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Nike Planning function combines insights and analytics to sense and shape how much product consumers will want, where and when they’ll want it. You will partner cross functionally with Assortment Planning, Merchandising, Allocation Operations, Market Place Operations and Brand teams to bring the seasonal vision to life.
As a Senior Allocation planner for North America Nike Inline and Factory Stores - you’ll ensure Nike wins with our consumers: your decisions guarantee the right merchandise assortment is available at the right time, in the right stores, in the right volume.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training.

3-5 years of relevant experience
-
1+ years of Allocation or Location Planning is preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage effectively with a broad range of audiences including business leaders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Commercial and entrepreneurial mind and skillset, alongside the ability to negotiate and trade pre and in-season
-
A self-starter mentality and an eagerness to drive and own end to end communication with results driven, forward thinking and proficient information seeking skills in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to network, utilize internal and external resources, deliver commitments, and to meet timelines.

Excellent knowledge of Excel and MS Windows applications, knowledge of the Just Enough allocation system a plus.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Contribute to a team environment, speak up to management on behalf of the team to best serve their needs

Responsible for mentoring and help planning onboarding allocators focusing on performance and personal development

Capture market and store trends and work closely with the Merchandising and Assortment Planning teams to drive a compelling assortment to our retail doors in order to maximize sales

Determine right depth per store/style/size for the initial allocation considering the information provided by the Merchandising team, current sales trend analyses, expected sales targets and store capacity

Collaborate with key cross functional stakeholders on pre-season and in-season risks & opportunities

Lead X-functional projects sparking innovation with a curious mindset, seeking constant improvement in how we drive our business and serve our consumers

Allocate within the constraints of maximum target capacities; allow smooth transitioning between campaigns, flows and seasons

Minimize end of season stock; ramp down replenishment on slow seller to increase store sell through and minimize returns and markdowns

Understand launch and marketing initiatives; proactively acquire necessary information to support campaigns and initiatives to ensure coverage of product used

Field point of contact for a Territory Market, share learnings to scale best practices to full fleet
