Job Summary

Job Description:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an EHS Engineer, located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Supervise a team of EHS technicians, ensuring proper execution of safety and environmental activities.

  • Collaborate with all departments in the design, implementation, and improvement of safety, fire prevention, and environmental compliance programs.

  • Review plans and specifications of machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with safety requirements.

  • Perform plant walkthroughs to identify potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

  • Define personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and ensure proper implementation of safety devices.

  • Coordinate and deliver safety training on policies, regulations, emergency response, and best practices.

  • Investigate incidents and accidents, conduct root cause analysis, and follow up on corrective actions.

  • Monitor workplace conditions, including air quality and exposure to hazardous substances.

  • Act as an internal consultant on ergonomics, industrial hygiene, hazardous materials, and fire and chemical safety.

  • Conduct internal EHS audits and follow up on findings.

  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and authorities on safety and health-related matters.

  • Prepare and report safety metrics, reports, and regulatory compliance documentation.

  • Support workers’ compensation management and return-to-work programs.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental, Chemical, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably mechanical assembly).

  • Experience supervising operational teams (EHS technicians or similar).

  • Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control.

  • Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis methodologies.

  • Knowledge of Mexican regulations and international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).

  • Experience in industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and hazardous materials management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Power BI knowledge is a plus.

  • English.
