Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sr. Automation Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

The Sr. Automation Engineer role involves being responsible of defining, implementing and proliferating automation projects, providing consultancy as SME.

What a typical day looks like:

• Define, Implement, and evaluate projects that improve the manufacturability by Automation applications
• Be able to create and define RFQ/SOW documents to quote with suppliers’ new integrations.
• Simulate electrical and pneumatic design in specialized SW, from simple automation and custom, using standards and implement, improve through new technology WW.
• Have contact with suppliers of new technologies and evaluate them to see which one is better for the required application.
• Train in new technologies that are of interest for the different application areas within flex.
• Take responsibility for the development or implementation of a project.
• Leader in Automation Engineering
• Able to quote and follow up automation integration: simple, custom or entire line for full processes.
• Work effectively with leadership, Processes and engineering quality, Program management Manufacturing, and other stakeholders to prioritize requirements for growth and productivity.
• Define clear requirements to achieve goals with ROI, investment cost, scalable solutions, etc.
• Effectively participate in promotion activities internally and with customers to represent various industry products, solutions, and value propositions.
• Special Knowledge in Mechanical design and Mechanical assy.
• CAD knowledge to interpret drawing and different custom design identify risk and opportunities.
• PLC programming will be a must to understand the logical sequence of customized machinery
• Special ability to Assy and des-assy complex mechanical parts.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• BS degree in Engineering electronics, mechanics, mechatronics or similar.
• Advanced English level.
• Previous experience in screwing process.
• Knowledge in AMR equipment.
• Advance knowledge in electrical design, implementation and debugging for automation development equipment, using electrical design SW, such as: Auto Cad Electrical.
• Advance knowledge in pneumatic design, implementation and debugging for automation development equipment.
• Knowledge in automation-maintenance and engineering.
• Evaluations, plans, internal strategies.
• Statistical análisis
• Six sigma tools.
• GAP analysis: statistics controls.
• Impacts long term projects and goals.
• Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approach to critical assignments.
• Experience with suppliers for automation integration solution.
• Interpretation and establishment of KPI and operational metrics for automation devices.
• Training in safety and ergonomics.
