Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Equipment Maintenance Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Equipment Maintenance Manager the Equipment Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supporting highly automated manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, optimizing, and commissioning SMT and Press‑Fit equipment, ensuring reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Troubleshot SMT and Press Fit equipment, identifying failures in electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform repairs, component replacements, adjustments, and fine tuning on advanced manufacturing equipment.
  • Update daily equipment status, performance metrics, and downtime reports.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Perform calibrations and re qualifications (electrical, pneumatic, optical).
  • Program, optimize, and support equipment including: ASM (SIPLACE / DEK): feeders, nozzles, vision systems, OEE improvement. Koh Young: SPI/AOI tuning, SPC analysis, false call reduction. Heller: thermal profile setup and validation. Hayawin / YJLink: line balancing, buffers, SMEMA integration. Camalot: dispense volume control, epoxy handling, valve maintenance
  • TE Connectivity Press Fit: force/displacement control, setup optimization, defect analysis
  • Lead equipment start-ups, testing, commissioning, and validations.
  • Document maintenance logs, corrective actions, and technical reports.
  • Support audits, reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Train technicians, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to maintenance procedures.
  • Promote safety, compliance, and best maintenance practices.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS in Engineering or similar.
  • Experience in equipment maintenance or manufacturing operations leadership.
  • Experience with equipment installation and relocation.
  • Advanced English (technical communication).
  • Strong knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, and automation.
  • Hands‑on experience with ASM, Koh Young, Heller, Hayawin, YJLink, Camalot, and Press‑Fit equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and SMT / Press‑Fit manuals.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience supervising and coordinating technical personnel.
