Job Summary

Summary:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Equipment Maintenance Managerlocated inPrai, Penang.

Directs activities of personnel engaged in the troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of manufacturing equipment to attain goals consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements

What a typical day looks like:

• Directs daily department activities to maximize equipment utilization and support production needs.

• Establishes preventative maintenance schedules.

• Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.

• Reviews and establishes material, equipment, and workforce resource requirements.

• Coordinates maintenance activities with other functional groups such as engineering and operations. Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the departmental function.

• Administer safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees.

• Generates maintenance logs and other operations metrics.

• Demonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic people and/or process management skills.

• Demonstrates advanced/ thorough knowledge of the function and Flex business.

• Impacts the immediate operations of the team or the functional area.

• Assists in achieving section/sub-function objectives for a functional area.

• May lead a major initiative that may impact multiple sites/customers.

• Executes and provide input to functional processes.

• Enhances functional processes. Executes function strategic plans and objectives.

• Makes decisions for the function. Decisions may affect site.

• Demonstrates skills in performance management, teaching/leading, counselling and/or mentoring. Models' appropriate behavior in support of Flex values.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires demonstrated leadership skills and 10 years of related experience.

• Able to read, comprehend, and interpret complex instructions.

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

• Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, manufacturing support, and peers.

• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
