Job Summary

Summary:

The “Material Planning Analyst” will be based in GDL South, reporting to Materials Manager

In charge of maintaining materials/purchasing data, supply data, and information to other production departments, coordinating contracts, maintaining Certificates of Conformance for all suppliers, and creating and maintain outsources parts schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in auditing data for accuracy and preparing summary reports, spreadsheets, graphics and charts based on the analysis of data.
  • May assist in the preparation of recommendations to management based on the analysis of data.
  • Collects, compiles, analyzes and presents various types of data.
  • Generate Shortage Reports.
  • Review Shortage Reports with buyers and present a summary to the client.
  • Experience with NPI and transfers.
  • Demand analysis and loading.
  • Analyze, request, and record approvals for excess MOQ and PPV PFAs (expediting fees).
  • Control of Do Not Buy listings.
  • Analyze and implement Engineering Changes.
  • Attend and participate in CFT meetings.
  • Generate and follow up on Excess and Obsolete Inventory Reports.
  • Update Production Plan
  • Capacity Projection.
  • Experience in Electronic Industry (desirable).

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in materials or related field.
  • A background in electronics manufacturing is desired.
  • Intermediate Excel.
  • Problem-solving.
  • Data Analytical Skills.
  • ERP (BAAN, SAP, Oracle, etc)
  • Experience with Kinaxis.
  • English Advanced.
