Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Principal Systems Engineer located in San Jose, CA (remote)
Reporting to the Director, Field Applications the Principal Systems Engineer will be accountable for providing partnership and collaboration to customers (senior engineering/architect roles) in understanding and developing systems requirements and architectural considerations.
What a typical day looks like:

Interface with external (senior engineering, systems, architect roles) and internal (CTO, R&D, Product Marketing, FAE’s) stakeholders with the goal of understanding and then articulating customer systems and architectural considerations.

Travels to customer sites for in-person discussions on technology and products.

Travels to tradeshows and other company events to represent Flex technologies.

Travel will range from 20%-40% of the time.

Work closely with the Sales and the FAE teams to coordinate customer activities.

Develop and maintains external and internal stakeholder relationships.

Lead complex conversations with customers to understand requirements and articulate design possibilities, and internally to relay this information and understand design capabilities, initiatives and priorities.

Lead internal conversations to understand present postures and limitations, and articulate possibilities helping with setting technology direction.

Works with all parties involved, including ODM’s, etc. to create and maintain clarity.

Develop technology roadmaps for customers (by gathering information from them) and present them internally.

Co-develop technology roadmap for Flex (with design) and present them to the customers.

Help define new products with customer requirements and new technology knowledge..
The experience we’re looking to add to our team,
-
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent), Master’s preferred
-
8+ years of experience in Technical Marketing or Architecture or Applications or Design or Systems Engineering of DC/DC converters
-
Good understanding of the DC/DC conversion market as well as design considerations
-
Experience interfacing with Engineering management at Tier 1 customers
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay Range (Applicable to California)
$150,000.00 USD - $206,300.00 USD Annual
