The Mobile Automation and Test team enables mobile developers to quickly and confidently deliver high quality and well-tested builds.

We build and maintain a reliable and robust suite of automation tools and workflows to test a wide variety of mobile devices across multiple network configurations.

Ideal Candidate:
We’re seeking a software engineer passionate about building and supporting robust, high-performance CI/CD and test infrastructure for mobile development.

In this role, you’ll design and maintain automation tools and workflows that streamline builds, integration, and deployment across diverse mobile devices.

You’ll also develop systems for data collection, visualization, and real-time monitoring to ensure the health and reliability of our pipelines and critical infrastructure.

What you will do:Design, build, and own the future of the mobile build ecosystem at Netflix, including our CI/CD, packaging, and release pipelines.

Architect and implement scalable, reliable, and performant build and test automation infrastructure that directly improves developer velocity and code quality.

Innovatively create and develop techniques to automate manual activities in our mobile development process.

Operate in a highly cross-functional environment where you can leverage multiple teams to help our partners be successful.

Set direction and build consensus to drive long term positive impact on the mobile engineering ecosystem.

Evangelize and drive adoption of software development best practices in code health, quality and test stability.

What you need to have7+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and maintaining mobile testing infrastructure, including test automation frameworks, device management, and test result reporting at scale.

Proven expertise in building and maintaining tools, frameworks, or infrastructure that improve developer productivity and streamline the mobile development lifecycle.

Deep, hands-on experience with modern CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Buildkite) and a strong understanding of CI/CD principles for mobile applications.

Experience with at least one modern programming language used in mobile development and testing (e.g.

Kotlin, Java, Swift, Objective-C).Expert proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, or Ruby, and a strong command of Shell/Bash.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to design scalable and maintainable solutions for complex technical challenges.

Expertise in mobile build systems, with deep knowledge of Gradle and the Xcode build system.

Experience: with Bazel is a strong plus.

Some nice to haves Experience building internal developer tools or dashboards (e.g., using React, Vue, etc.).Experience with databases and data visualization for monitoring build health and performance metrics (e.g., MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Grafana).

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses.

You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options.

To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range.

The range for this role is **$388,000.00 - $558,000.00.**Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits.

We also offer paid leave of absence programs.

Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.

Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
