Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

The Global Affairs team at Netflix proactively manages the company's relationship with government officials and advises the company on regulatory matters. Additionally, the team engages with governments on a variety of issues and initiatives that materially impact our business or our members in hopes of setting Netflix up for success and growth around the world.

The Brazil Global Affairs team is looking for a new member to support our public policy strategy on different regulatory fronts. This position will report directly to the Global Affairs Director and work closely with the other team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in legislative analysis and policy research on a wide range of priority issues.

  • Engage with mid-level government officials to support the execution of public policy strategies.

  • Collaborate with a range of internal cross-functional teams as well as consultants, trade associations, and industry peers.

  • Support the creation of internal communications on key policy developments, including the creation of presentation decks and memos.

  • Maintain databases and trackers on priority issues, hearings, and markups.

  • Source critical data from internal tools.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience working in government affairs, public policy, legislative and/or executive branch stakeholder engagement.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and research skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience developing and fostering effective relationships across diverse teams.

  • Outstanding attention to detail and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • A willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the work done.

  • The ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and stay calm under pressure.

The position is based in Brasilia. Frequent traveling to Sao Paulo and to other destinations.
