Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.
About the role.
The Netflix Publishing team (Tudum.com, Tudum Magazine, Netflix Podcasts) is seeking a strategic and innovative Senior Manager to lead Publishing’s global expansion in Mexico focused. This role will set the editorial directional and local strategy for Tudum.com, building on pilot learnings to create a compelling home for members fans that deepen engagement and drive audience growth. You’ll oversee a small, multidisciplinary team and partner closely with local Marketing, Publicity, and Social teams to ensure storytelling is culturally relevant and resonates with members and fans — reaching them with the right content, at the right time, in the right places.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Direction & Growth
Define and evolve the local editorial content strategy for Spanish language, aligning with global Publishing goals and local priorities.
-
Analyze performance and memorialize learnings from pilots and campaigns to inform future strategy.
-
Set and iterate on strategies for content, audience reach, and distribution to grow overall engagement and reach.
-
Identify and adapt priorities based on performance data, predictive insights, and emerging opportunities.
-
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as the central editorial partner for local Marketing, PAVS, Publicity, and Social teams in Mexico and regionally.
-
Align storytelling efforts across campaigns, fandom initiatives, and platform ecosystems to drive impact.
-
Collaborate across local, regional and global teams to share learnings, best practices, and innovation.
-
Editorial & Creative Leadership
Oversee the day-to-day management of the owned editorial platform for the Spanish language fandom site.
-
Ensure content meets Netflix’s editorial standards, tone, and brand guidelines across all formats.
-
Lead the creation of branded content and campaigns that connect members to Netflix films, series, stories and talent.
-
Supervise a small team to deliver exceptional, localized and original storytelling that can be repackaged across platforms to deliver an engaging experience in multiple mediums/forms
-
Innovation & Experimentation
Embrace emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance creative development, production workflows, and content performance.
-
Brainstorm and execute big, blue-sky ideas that push creative boundaries and strengthen fan connection.
-
Move quickly and decisively to capture reactive, trending, and timely opportunities.
-
Editorial & Creative Expertise
Apply deep experience across editorial mediums — from news and features to original video and photography, interactive formats and social-driven content that drives click through.
-
Use data and insights to inform creative decisions, refine audience strategy, and optimize storytelling formats.
-
Craft and execute a content strategy that connects local members and fans back to Tudum and the broader Netflix ecosystem.
-
Hands-On Editorial Craft
While this is a strategic role, it also requires strong editorial instincts and comfort with rolling up your sleeves. You’ll occasionally write and edit headlines, refine copy for clarity and tone, and ensure stories are optimized for engagement and discoverability. You should be fluent in working within a content management system (CMS), able to publish and update content directly, and comfortable performing image editing or selecting visuals that strengthen storytelling. This mix of tactical work keeps you close to the craft, the audience, and the evolving needs of the editorial platform.
Qualifications:
-
10+ years of experience in branded content, editorial, publishing, or digital media, ideally within entertainment, culture, or fandom spaces.
-
Proven success leading editorial and creative strategy for regional markets or brands with diverse audiences.
