At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.
The Consumer Products and Experiences Finance & Strategy (CPX F&S) team is looking for a talented Associate to drive our global growth efforts in themed consumer-facing experiences (including ticketed, food & beverage, and retail offerings). The Experiences team is responsible for a large, diverse portfolio, including the Stranger Things retail stores, The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience, Netflix Bites restaurants, the Squid Game experience, the Stranger Things stage play (in West End and Broadway), and Netflix House, to name a few. We’re looking for an Associate who can help the Experiences team innovate at the portfolio level and within individual experience projects.
In this role, you will need to be a self-starter, big-picture thinker, and analytical thought partner with an eye for detail. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, embrace ambiguity, and manage multiple work streams. You must be a solution-oriented problem solver who can communicate complex ideas effectively using both qualitative and quantitative means to a broad spectrum of stakeholders. The position is based in our Los Angeles office (3x a week) and will work closely with the Head of Experiences.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-
Develop strategies to scale the business across UCAN, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC
-
Lead long-range planning with an eye towards execution and in-market impact.
-
Develop and manage business models and P&Ls to optimize consumer reach and guest satisfaction in line with financial and operational targets.
-
Apply innovation to disrupt the way consumers interact with their favorite film/TV stories, and test new transformational ideas (e.g., channels, technologies).
-
Conduct market research and industry/competitive analyses to inform consumer-centric strategies.
-
Inform title and audience prioritization, creative development, marketing & operational decisions, and assess past programs via development of key metrics, strategic frameworks, and analyses.
-
Support broader brand and franchise strategy development in partnership with Content and Marketing teams.
-
Create memos and presentations to communicate succinctly and effectively.
-
Influence a broad range of creative and technical business stakeholders, executive leadership, and external partners.
Qualifications
-
3-6 years of experience, ideally with a mix of highly demanding and analytical environments (e.g., management consulting firm, investment bank, etc.) and internal corporate strategy at high-growth companies.
-
A background in live experiences, themed entertainment, top-tier Intellectual Properties (IP), and/or hospitality is a plus, but not required.
-
Superior proficiency in Excel & complex financial modeling.
-
Strong communication skills (visual slides, memos, and synthesizing insights).
-
High aptitude for problem solving, research, and financial modeling used in support of analyses and prescribed recommendations.
-
Experience in developing strategies and executing plans to operate and scale consumer-facing businesses across multiple markets.
-
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for process and business improvement opportunities
-
Must be a self-starter and able to operate with little guidance.
-
Experience with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides) is preferred.
-
Genuine passion and excitement for Netflix’s unique culture and long-term vision.
