About The Role
The Marketing Partnerships team collaborates with external brands and agency/production partners to find unique, compelling & fan-forward ways to bring brands closer to iconic Netflix IP with the goal of creating impactful campaigns, activations, and other innovative solutions.
This role will lead our Brand Partnerships function in APAC, a new discipline within our broader Global Marketing Partnerships and Ads Marketing ecosystem. You and your team in APAC will be responsible for outreach with potential brand partners, to build relationships and gain a deep understanding of their goals, planning process, creative ambition, and core equities. At the earliest stages of development, you will work cross functionally with the content, marketing, and legal teams to identify titles that strategically align with the Netflix Brand Partnership approach.
Netflix currently has three Ad markets in APAC, Japan, Korea & Australia. The three markets, and China Export, will each require you and the team to build a custom strategy and prioritise a unique suite of solutions. Your team will research and engage with a cross-section of brands to identify potential partners and find meaningful connections between titles, audiences, the brand partnership suite of solutions and the partner’s marketing priorities. You will guide the team to negotiate and shape robust partnerships with admired brands in support of Netflix’s most prominent films and series.
In the near term, you will establish the framework for Brand Partnerships in APAC, ensuring this region is well set up to adopt the global strategy, vision, voice, and operating model, for our suite of offerings while taking a country-first approach in our go-to-market. In the longer term, you will scale and evolve the practice to exceed the expectations of the market, unlocking the fullest potential of our proprietary offerings in APAC.
This new role presents a huge opportunity to be at the forefront of a new Netflix offering, one that not only continues to prove how Netflix is the most innovative entertainment company in the world, but also helps to deliver and grow an important new revenue stream for the business. We are looking for a proven, motivated and innovative marketer, capable of leading the development, implementation, and execution of brand partnerships and marketing integrations that continue to grow our subscriber base and advance our mission to entertain the world.
Key Responsibilities:

Establishing and leading a team of strong brand partnership leads who develop innovative practices and solutions across APAC.

Guiding the team to develop the strategic vision for key brand partnerships programs, while operating with a country-first mindset. Also has experience in driving China Export.

Establishing the framework for Brand Partnerships in APAC, ensuring this region is well set up to adopt the global strategy, vision, voice, and operating model for our suite of offerings.

Ensuring close alignment with the APAC Content and Marketing teams, working at script stage to identify the greatest opportunities for brand partnerships and integrations.

Developing a growth plan and vision, aligning with external and internal stakeholders, to deliver business impact.

Lead the team in APAC will be responsible for outreach with potential brand partners, to build relationships and gain a deep understanding of their goals, planning process, creative ambition, and core equities.

Extracting insights from partners and internal marketing teams to develop and steer the strategic & creative vision from beginning through to execution.

Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to our Sales, Ads Marketing, Content, Title Marketing, Consumer Products, and Partnerships

Driving direction and alignment across cross-functional teams, content, brand, and agency partners.

Providing clear, ambitious and articulate thinking to inform and guide major decisions or voice opinions that can be shared publicly within the broader organisation (and sometimes beyond).
Requirements:
-
15+ years of experience developing, negotiating, and executing incredibly creative partnerships and brand campaigns.
-
Deep expertise in developing strategic advertising solutions with a compelling track record of building and leading across both linear and digital marketing functions.
-
7+ years leading a regional team, with a track record of establishing a brilliant internal culture that balances collaboration with individual creativity.
-
Extensive experience building business strategy and solutions from scratch.
-
A thorough understanding of the inner dynamics of how entertainment partnerships are developed and managed, inclusive of scripted programming.
-
Experience within a film or TV studio environment, including working with content teams in early development work for film or series (or both) is preferred.

Technical skills that enable you to effectively collaborate and deliver impact.

Successful experience interacting with production, clients, and agency partners

A track record of being an essential member in the development of recognized creative campaigns.

Has mastery of drafting and negotiating deal memos and contractual agreements.

Experience working alongside Ad Sales and Consumer Products functions.

A passion for both deal-making and creative marketing.

A record of cultivating relationships and a deep level of respect with top brand marketers.

Dynamic presenter who can captivate and communicate effectively with senior executives, showrunners, filmmakers, and partner leadership.
