Job Summary

The Service Now Sec Ops Developer is primarily responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Service Now Security Operations, with a strong focus on Vulnerability Response (VR). This role delivers scalable Sec Ops solutions through configuration, integration, automation, and Service Portal customizations, while adhering to Service Now best practices. In addition to Sec Ops, the developer is expected to contribute to general Service Now platform features as needed, applying scripting, catalog, and workflow skills. The role requires strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Job Requirements

• Design, develop, and support Service Now Sec Ops solutions, with strong focus on Vulnerability Response (VR) and security operations use cases.
• Configure and enhance Sec Ops processes including data ingestion, prioritization, remediation tracking, and reporting.
• Build and maintain integrations with third‑party tools and enterprise systems using REST APIs, spokes, and MID Server, based on business needs.
• Develop and customize Service Portal experiences (pages, widgets, UI components) for security and IT users.
• Perform platform scripting across Service Now modules, leveraging Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and UI Policies to meet functional requirements.
• Create and manage Service Catalog items related to security requests, access, exceptions, and operational workflows.
• Design and support Flow Designer and legacy Workflow automations to streamline Sec Ops and platform processes.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues related to Sec Ops functionality, integrations, scripting, and automation.
• Collaborate effectively with security teams, platform teams, stakeholders, and vendors to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

Demonstrate strong communication skills, including clear documentation, participation in design discussions, and proactive status updates to BSA.

Education

Minimum of 5 years of related experience Primary Skillset:

Service Now Sec Ops (VR), Service Portal, Integrations

Secondary Skillset:

Platform Scripting, Service Catalog, Flow/Workflow
