Position Overview:
The Financial Analyst – Finance Co‑Pilot provides analytical and financial support across commercial, supply chain, and sales teams. This role supports business planning, forecasting, reporting, and period‑end processes while helping ensure financial accuracy, transparency, and adherence to controls.
The Financial Analyst partners with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other Finance stakeholders to analyze performance, support trade and investment decisions, and provide data‑driven insights. The role focuses on P&L analysis, trade performance tracking, forecasting support, variance analysis, and ad‑hoc financial analysis.
This position is well‑suited for an analytically strong finance professional looking to deepen business partnering skills and build experience communicating insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Management & P&L Ownership

Support Period End Close (PEC) activities, including variance analysis and reconciliation of P&L results

Assist in maintaining customer, product, and business unit P&Ls to support reporting and decision‑making
-
Analyze drivers of performance and support explanation of results to cross‑functional partners
Trade Optimization and Stewardship
-
Track trade spend performance and copilot Sales teams to optimize trade plans
-
Analyze unauthorized deductions, broker commissions, and trade variances; partner with Sales teams to resolve issues and enable recovery
-
Provide insights on trade effectiveness, customer profitability, and return on investment
Business Partnering

Provide financial modeling, scenario analysis, and decision support for:

Commercial and trade investment decisions

New product launches, renovations, and portfolio optimization
-
Cost savings and efficiency initiatives across the network
-
Translate financial analysis into clear, concise insights for Finance and non‑Finance stakeholders
-
Support cross‑functional initiatives by tracking financial impacts and benefit realization
Process Improvement & Analytics
-
Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate reporting and planning processes
-
Develop ad‑hoc models, dashboards, and analyses to improve financial transparency
-
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to forecasting accuracy, trade governance, and financial reporting

Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
-
2+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or finance
-
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, modeling, pivot tables)
-
Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar); exposure to Smart View, BW preferred
-
Experience or interest in CPG or Foodservice environments a plus
-
Exposure to sales finance, or customer profitability preferred
