About This Role

Navan is looking for an Application Administrator, Finance Systems to join our growing team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in supporting and administering our financial systems, working closely with our Finance, Accounting, and IT teams. You'll help ensure our systems run smoothly, contributing to our operational efficiency and scalability. What You'll Do

• Core Administration: Support the daily management of our financial tech stack; responsible for user access and functional configurations across Net Suite and Zip to support seamless business operations.
• Configuration & Enhancements: Perform hands-on system configuration, including custom fields, workflows, and user role administration, to translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• System Optimization: Assist in maintaining and optimizing Net Suite and ZIP to support key finance functions.
• Data Integrity: Help ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data across our systems.
• Reporting & Analytics: Design and maintain Net Suite saved searches, reports, and dashboards tailored to specific end-user requirements; utilize Net Suite Analytics for complex data requests to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
• Issue Resolution: Support the finance and accounting teams by diagnosing system issues, providing timely resolutions for daily functional tasks, and escalating advanced technical hurdles to the appropriate internal or external experts.
• Documentation & Training: Contribute to developing system documentation and provide training to users to help them effectively utilize our financial tools.
• Efficiency & Scalability: Recommend and implement system improvements that automate routine tasks, ensuring our financial tools scale effectively with the company’s growth.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure system configurations and workflows align with our financial policies and business needs, including SOX compliance requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience administering Net Suite and Zip (or similar Procure-to-Pay tools), ideally within a global, SOX-compliant organization.
• Tax Systems: Practical experience with tax compliance software such as One Source or Avalara.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong functional understanding of core accounting processes (P2P and R2R) and financial reporting workflows.
• Problem-Solving: A proven ability to troubleshoot technical system issues and provide user-friendly resolutions efficiently.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
• Bonus Points: Net Suite certifications (Suite Foundation or Administrator).
