Department Overview

NPI Process Engineer:

Job Description:

• Perform DFA (Design for Assembly) analysis for new product mechanical assembly, and drive for non-compliance closure.

• Working with DE (Design Engineering) and suppliers to drive closure of mechanical assembly or process related issues.

• Working with DE (Design Engineering) and suppliers to develop new BE (Backend) processes / technology.

• Develop suppliers to provide best in class manufacturing processes to support new product manufacturing requirements.

• Hands-on experience in product mechanical failures troubleshooting and optimization of new product manufacturing processes.

• Continuously develop and seek new processes breakthroughs that improve quality, productivity and cost

Basic Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering.

• Candidate must possess below experience and knowledge :

Mechanical assembly process

• Familiar with best practices in mechanical assembly and assembly jig / fixture design

• Familiar with poka-yoke design and Design for Assembly guideline / design rules

• Familiar with statistical tool such as pFMEA, SPC, DOE

• Ultrasonic, resistance welding and heat staking process

• Vacuum leak test requirement and troubleshooting

• Experience / knowledge in below technology/methodology will be added advantage

Experience in SMT process for Flex and PCBA:

• Experience in SMT DFM process

• Excellent communication, organization, reporting and analytical skills individuals with strong personal interaction skills are encouraged to apply.

• Self motivated with high level of initiative and energy.

• Willingness for domestic and international travel (when applicable)
