Department Overview

Our MSI System Application Engineering team consists of multiple standalone scrum teams working on and developing emerging solutions and business-aligned projects. We develop and integrate video solutions, analytics features and sensor systems for more streamlined operations while bringing to life highly innovative end-to-end products, including AI-powered license plate detection and recognition. We are also responsible for the creation and continuous development of the Enterprise level solution based on Vehicle Intelligence for the MSI portfolio.

Job Description:

The Enterprise LPR Team designs and builds solutions that integrate License Plate Recognition (LPR) cameras with Video Management Systems (VMS) and Vehicle Intelligence platforms. As part of our full-stack Agile scrum teams, you will contribute to the development, testing, deployment, and management of these integrations. As a software developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and testing our end-to-end solutions while ensuring high-quality standards.

What We Are Looking For:

• Proficiency in C#, C++, Java, and JavaScript

• Application development experience with object-oriented design, threading, and resource management

• Strong understanding of API concepts and OS-level virtualization

• Familiarity with database tools and management systems

• Ability to solve challenges in On-Premise (non-cloud) applications

• Passion for creating clean, maintainable, high-quality software with unit tests

• Excellent communication skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

Preferred Skills and Background:

• Experience in modular software design and development (Protobuf experience is a plus)

• Familiarity with modern full-stack CI/CD pipelines and test automation concepts

• Knowledge of Linux development and software installers

Development Tools and Environments:

• Visual Studio / Git

• Bitbucket

• Docker and Kubernetes for virtualization

Target Base Salary Range: $120,000 USD - $145,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
