Department Overview

Our International Repairs team is part of the Motorola Solutions business covering the Australia and New Zealand region. We are a professional repair services team that delivers Land Mobile Radio repair. We provide world-class service to meet and exceed customer expectations. Restoring customer confidence at the moment that matters

Job Description:

You will be responsible for:

  • Perform a variety of tasks to test, diagnose and repair LMR ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

  • Depot level service for Subscriber radio communications equipment.

  • Participate in meetings and interactions with stakeholders and customers if required.

  • Change Management, including:

  • Codeplug management including associated documentation;

  • Radio Manager server and application management;

  • KMF/KVL/Encryption management;

  • Process improvements; and

  • End-to-end management of subscriber firmware, codeplug

  • Ensuring repair turn-around targets are met

  • To carry out new radio programming.

  • Actively contributing to improvements in quality procedures.

  • Cross trained across products families

  • Ensure work ethic meets 5s requirements

  • To undergo training as appropriate.

  • Provides training and/or supports engineering in the training of employees or contractor on new product and updates.

  • Able to apply logical, methodical, analytical approach to isolate and solve complicated problems

  • Exercise quality procedures and practices at all times.

  • Escalating technical issues to Repair Engineering team.

  • Maybe required to perform other duties, as required

Basic Requirements:

Education and Qualifications

Essential:

Diploma of Engineering / Electronics or equivalent experience

Experience and Skills

Essential:

  • High level of knowledge of electronic repair, maintenance and alignment techniques and procedures.

  • Possess a well-founded understanding of quality assurance processes.

  • High level of communication skills and customer focused.

  • High level of computer skills (Microsoft Office suite), including asset management systems and specialised Radio Programming software
