Join the Missions & Insights organization and help us build the next generation of public safety technology. We create the platforms that power real-time emergency response, crime analysis, and critical capabilities like drone-as-first-responder and AI-driven situational awareness. Our work has a direct impact on saving lives and ensuring community safety. Our portfolio, which includes Command Central Aware and Rapid Deploy, is expanding with cutting-edge innovations in autonomous incident detection and AI triage. Our goal is to create a mission-first, cloud-native, and intelligence-driven nerve center for modern public safety.

The Link Exchange team collects and normalizes telemetry data from a wide variety of sources, including many different device types, Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), and other Public Safety systems. This information is then intelligently consolidated and supplied to the end user, providing crucial insights for situational awareness.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our team. You will be a key driver in designing, developing, and maintaining our organization's core products and systems. This role requires a strong full-stack background, blending deep backend expertise in Java with modern frontend capabilities (React/Angular) to build highly scalable, high-availability applications.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

• Full-Stack Development: Design, build, test, and maintain robust, scalable software solutions using Java (J2EE, Spring) on the backend and React or Angular on the frontend.

• System Architecture: Actively participate in architectural decisions and API design, ensuring solutions meet organizational needs for performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Technical Leadership: Develop innovative solutions, champion software engineering best practices (design patterns, clean code), and mentor other engineers.

• System Integration: Perform seamless integration of software and hardware components to maintain throughput and program consistency.

• DevOps & CI/CD: Contribute to and maintain build and release pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred) to improve development velocity and reliability.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (product, design, QA) within an Agile development methodology.

• Documentation: Create and maintain clear technical structures and user documentation.

Basic Requirements:

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of building highly scalable and available systems.

• Backend Expertise: Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, and the Spring framework.

• Frontend Expertise: Hands-on experience building modern, data-driven frontend applications with React or Angular.

• Core CS Fundamentals: Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Concepts, Data Structures, and API design (REST, SOA).

• Web Technologies: Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and internet protocols.

• Agile Experience: Proven experience working effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Communication: Excellent cross-functional communication skills with advanced English proficiency (written, spoken, and reading).

Nice-to-Haves (Preferred Qualifications)

• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud environments, especially Azure (AWS or GCP also valuable).

• Cloud Databases: Experience with cloud-native databases like Azure Cosmos DB or DynamoDB.

• DevOps: Practical experience with DevOps principles and CI/CD tools.

• Real-time Tech: Knowledge of WebSockets or Server-Side Events (SSE).

• Modern Frontend: Familiarity with Vue.js and SASS.
