Strategic Cyber Threat Intelligence (Director – AVP equivalent)  GlasgowJR019648

Cyber Mission Management works at the heart of Morgan Stanley's global Threat Hunting & Cybersecurity Detection organization. This role provides an opportunity to play a lead role in protecting our company, employees, clients, and our communities from cyber-attacks. Be part of a dedicated team where you will be challenged every day, collaborating with some of the best minds in the industry, and with world-class technology at your fingertips.

As a senior Cyber Mission Management Analyst, you will orchestrate the Firm's strategic threat intelligence communications and reporting to senior and executive management, coordinating with internal technical specialists to provide a comprehensive picture of the Firm's response to an ongoing cyber risk or threat. You will also play a critical role in promoting our cybersecurity strategy, working closely with internal teams, and external partners to ensure we stay ahead of the latest threats and regulations.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Support / Lead MMC's daily activities and contribute to the team's critical mission by acting as the key point of contact in the region.

  • Analyze emerging and long-term cyber threats—including nation-state activity, criminal ecosystems, and sector-specific risks—to assess potential impacts on the organization and the broader financial system.

  • Develop and deliver strategic intelligence assessments that inform executive leadership, cyber risk management, and strategic security planning.

  • Monitor geopolitical, economic, and regulatory developments to evaluate how macro trends influence the cyber threat landscape and the organization’s risk posture.

  • Identify strategic intelligence requirements and prioritize analytical efforts to align with business objectives, regulatory obligations, and risk tolerance.

  • Synthesize complex intelligence from multiple sources (technical, open-source, partner, and internal reporting) into cohesive narratives that support high-level decision-making.

  • Produce forward-looking threat horizon reports and strategic briefings for senior stakeholders, helping anticipate and mitigate emerging risks.

  • Advise on intelligence-driven policy, controls, and strategic risk scenarios, bridging the gap between technical intelligence and business context.

  • Track and manage internal cyber metrics and collate relevant information on triage/remediation to summarize for leadership consumption.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in a cybersecurity / threat intelligence function.

  • Excellent ability to translate complex cyber issues to relevant audiences, both verbally and written.

  • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience liaising with a variety of technical and business stakeholders for effective collaboration and information sharing.

  • Ability to stay updated with the latest trends and threats in the cybersecurity landscape.

  • At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience working in an Investment Banking environment.

  • Experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on stakeholder engagement in related roles.

  • Relevant Security/Intelligence related certifications a plus.

  • Working knowledge of security frameworks and models, including MITRE ATT&CK.

  • Experience with Power Automate platform, Power BI, Share Point Online.
