Morgan Stanley is seeking a Workday Operations Specialist to join the Alpharetta Workday Product Management team.
The Workday Product Management function sits within HR Solutions and manages the ongoing operation and enhancement of Workday, including delivery of new capabilities. We partner with HR Solutions, HR Technology, vendors, and HR teams globally to simplify and automate HR processes, improve efficiency, and reduce operational risk.
What you’ll do in the role:
- Serve as Workday HCM functional SME; advise HR partners/users and troubleshoot process and system issues.
- Support HR initiatives by translating business needs into Workday process, data, and operational requirements.
- Partner with HR and IT to gather requirements and support deployments, including test planning, UAT coordination, and defect management.
- Collaborate with the configuration vendor to uphold the shared configuration model and governance protocols.
- Create activity runbooks and coordinate communications, acceptance, and sign-off across stakeholders.
- Assist with escalation management and resolution for Workday process/system issues.
- Create training materials and deliver training, demos, and knowledge transfer.
- Identify and assess (feasibility/impact) scalable improvements to Workday processes.
- Serve as backup Scrum Master as needed; support Agile/Scrum ceremonies and facilitate team collaboration.
What you'll bring to the role:
- 4+ years of experience in HR Operations and/or HRIS supporting Core HCM.
- Experience supporting Workday and its HR business processes, workflows and core reference data.
- Strong Excel skills, including data manipulation and analysis.
- Comfortable learning new tools quickly and adapting in a fast-changing environment.
- Strong consultative and analytical skills (ask, advise, analyze, and execute).
- Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a quality focus.
Experience with the following is desired:
- Workday configuration experience in one or more areas: Core HCM, Absence, Recruiting, Talent, or Benefits.
- Experience building and executing EIB mass loads.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
