Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Consulting Solutions (ICS) business, a part of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Client Segments, provides consulting services and solutions to institutional investors, including corporations, foundations, endowments, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, insurer, and Taft-Hartley funds. We work directly with Financial Advisors/Consultants and other key partners across the Firm to drive asset growth and scalable, centralized infrastructure, service models and tooling to ensure best in class support for this growing and complex business.
Position Summary:
As part of the ICS Scaling, Insights & Execution team, which functions as a Chief Operating Officer & Strategy shop for ICS, the ICS Scaling & Insights Associate will work with key-stake holders to provide valuable data insights, translate strategy into execution plans and roadmaps, and help scale initiatives that improve operational effectiveness and support business growth.
We are seeking a candidate that is highly organized, proactive professional who can communicate clearly and effectively, manage multiple priorities, and is very comfortable working with data and data analysis. This individual will take ownership of deliverables end-to-end, maintain strong attention to detail, and keep work moving forward in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Own and facilitate key forums (e.g., status meetings, working sessions), ensuring timely and accurate communication to drive progress and decisions.
- Manage, track, and continuously re-prioritize initiatives for Analytic & Data partners to meet evolving business needs.
- Maintain project plans and action logs, clearly capturing owners, timelines, dependencies, and milestones.
- Document processes and decisions, ensuring a consistent audit trail and shared understanding across stakeholders.
- Identify, triage, and escalate blockers early to keep delivery on track.
- Coordinate projects and initiatives across cross-departmental teams to ensure cohesive execution.
- Oversee and maintain collaboration channels and shared repositories to enable efficient coordination and information sharing.
- Analyze and synthesize data into executive-ready reporting (e.g., KPIs, trends, business insights) to support proposals and decision-making.
- Deliver concise stakeholder updates and executive summaries, tailoring messaging to audience needs and ensuring follow-through on next steps.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management, analytics, and/or business strategy/management
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong project management experience, with demonstrated ability to successfully lead and prioritize multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into actionable plans, manage cross-departmental relationships, mitigate project roadblocks, and deliver outcomes on time
- Proficient SQL skills (including complex queries such as joins, CTEs, window functions; ability to optimize performance and maintain data quality)
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills; ability to define ambiguous problems, synthesize data, and deliver practical solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (business and technical)
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills (e.g., Power Query, nested formulas)
- Experience with Dataiku (or similar data workflow platforms)
- Tableau experience preferred but not required

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $70,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
