Investment Management Segment Reporting & Analytics - Vice President
We're seeking someone to join our Segment Reporting & Analytics Team as a Vice President in Investment Management Finance (IM Finance) to be involved in accounting, finance and process transformation, as well as calculating the Firm's P&L during the quarterly mark-to-market and multi-year forecast processes.In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources.
This is a Vice President level position within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) job family, which is responsible for the firm's budget, forecast, internal management reporting and financial analysis to provide insight into the firm's current and expected financial performance. Additional responsibilities include expense allocation. FP&A is a contributor to the Firm's CCAR process.

What you'll do in the role:
- Own end‑to‑end quarterly revenue and balance sheet forecasting for Private Real Assets, Private Equity, and Credit businesses, including assumption governance, model oversight, and senior‑level narrative.
-Accountable for the accuracy, control environment, and timely delivery of Firm equity and carried interest estimates to the General Ledger, including variance explanation and senior management communication.
-Own FP&A deliverables supporting quarterly external disclosures (10‑K/Q), partnering closely with Corporate Accounting to ensure integrity, consistency, and risk awareness.
-Drive forward‑looking investment sensitivity analysis and scenario framing to inform senior management decision‑making, capital allocation, and risk discussions.
-Oversee weekly monitoring of projected investment‑related revenue, proactively identifying risks and emerging trends across public markets, FX, and private valuation assumptions.
-Own quarterly look‑through exposure and stress loss analytics in partnership with Firm Risk, serving as a primary escalation point for key issues.
-Serve as the FP&A lead for new product launches, developing initial Firm forecasts and providing finance sign‑off for the IM New Product Committee.
-Act as FP&A sponsor for the Investments Platform enhancement, defining business requirements and partnering with BU and IM Technology to deliver scalable solutions.
-Lead cross‑functional efforts to enhance forecasting, reporting, and control processes, improving efficiency, transparency, and analytical rigor.
-Serve as a primary finance liaison across FP&A, Business Units, Firm Risk, and Corporate Accounting, ensuring alignment and clear ownership.
-Act as a role model and culture carrier, setting standards for analytical quality, control mindset, and professional judgment.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Desired 10+ years of work experience.
- Familiarity with Private Equity / Real Estate Fund structures, operations, and distribution waterfall.
- Desired technical skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint, PowerBI) and financial software applications, such as TM1.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to deal with colleagues/clients of all levels
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Committed and self-motivated individual who can demonstrate initiative and problem solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work to and manage deadlines.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $180,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
